a little night music in paris

While traveling in France this past summer a friend mentioned that they had seen a wonderful live concert at Sainte-Chapelle. Since Sainte-Chapelle was one of our favorite sites in Paris, we thought a concert there would certainly be worth attending.

Sainte-Chapelle is located in the courtyard of the royal palace on the Ile de Cite in Paris. Ordered by Louis IX, Sainte-Chapelle, was built between 1242 to 1248, to house the Relics of the Passion of Christ.

a paris must see: musee de l'orangerie

We're not sure why this museum does not come up higher on the Top Ten lists - because it should. After a day trip to Monet’s gardens in Giverny we were on the hunt for all things Monet in Paris. Our first stop was Musee de l’Orangerie. This museum located in the Jardin des Tuilleries, houses Monet’s crowning work, the water lily series or Nympheas. Painted in his garden at Giverny, seeing these large format paintings up close immediately takes you back to his beautiful gardens.
